Design Grids & Heirarchy/Contrast

Design grids: Base of a website.
web page grids must necessarily accommodate a wider range of visual possibilities

LOGICAL CONTENT ORDER.
Grids consist of consistent and predictable patterns. They should be consistent in organization to allow navigation, functionality, and easy to read content. 

HIERARCHYthe order of importance.
goal: differenciating between primary and seondary content.
— can be conveyed through systems, but can be through text, size, color
— text and visual images can be given order by consistent placing and styling.

Good hierarchy:
– creates clear primary and secondary entry points
– hierarchy of contrast
– use of differenciators

Bad hierarchy:
-lack of organization
-monotonous
-no obvious entry points
